On the third day, we all met our host families. I kicked off the day with a delicious breakfast. Once we were ready, we hit the road to Reggio Emilia, the town where our host families live. We traveled by bus, a journey that lasted about four hours. Even though we left around 1 pm, we didn't get to their town until 6:30 pm. Everyone on the bus was quite nervous since none of us knew how we were going to get along with our host students. After getting off the bus, I said goodbye to my friends and joined my host family. As I sat in the back seat of their car, I was filled with anxiety, wondering what I got myself into. Upon getting to their home, which was an apartment in the city, they led me to my room. It was a lovely space with an en-suite bathroom. They then took me to a nearby pizza place for dinner. At the beginning of dinner, I was a little nervous, but then my initial nervousness began to fade away, and I could converse with them without an issue. I don't have many photos from this day.
