This has to be one of the most interesting days in Italy. It was Saturday, so we had the whole day to explore. Little did I know I would be exploring a completely different part of Italy than I thought. My host family took me to their cousin's farm nearby. It was such a mind-blowing experience to see how they care for their animals and process the milk. This was definitely the most difficult part for me to understand because they were explaining only in Italian, and it was about the farm and how they care for their animals, so I've never heard many of these words. Thankfully, my host student spoke fluent English, so he was able to fill in the blanks. He gave me some of his cheese to bring home with me. After the farm, his cousin, aunt, and uncle came with us to a family restaurant nearby where I got ravioli. In the picture below don't make fun of my shoes or rolled-up pants they gave me some shoes so I didn't get my own shoes dirty.
