Italy Day 7

Today, my class and I went to Venice together. We met up at the high school and then left to catch our train. After about a 2-hour ride, we arrived in Venice and did a little sightseeing until we realized we were late for our scheduled gondola ride. If you were in Venice on March 11th and saw a bunch of people running through Venice, that was my class. We used Google Maps to figure out how to get to our meeting point and then we ran. I remember all of us just running and me laughing because it felt so unreal. We arrived at the meeting place with the people who were going to take us on a ride only about 5 minutes late. The ride was so nice and cool to see all of the canals, although it did put into perspective the flooding problems in Venice. I saw lots of places that were filled with water and some houses next to water that had water damage. After our quick ride, we went to explore the shops around Venice where I bought my family some cute glass products since Venice is known for glassmaking. Venice was beautiful, and I had a wonderful time with my peers.
