During my trip to California, I went to the San Diego Zoo. While at the zoo, I was able to see my favorite animal in person. My favorite animal is the Fossa. They are carnivore mammals that live on the island of Madagascar. Their population is currently declining, and their Conservation status is vulnerable, with less than 2,500 left in the wild. When I put it in perspective, my school has the same amount of students as Fossa's in the wild.
